  Operations performed by the group includes:
  • Scanning operations - large and small-format raster scanning
  • Data conversion services - raster to vector and vice versa
  • Paper navigation chart compilation in accordance to national and international specifications
  • Electronic Navigation Chart (ENC) compilation and maintenance in accordance to IHO S-57 ENC specifications
  • Bureau service from small to large production and maintenance tasks
  • Provision of data in many formats - e.g HCRF, GeoTIFF, TIFF, Postscript, SVG, etc
HSA Systems can assist a client with:
  • Requirements analysis
  • Data modelling - metadata analysis, data accuracy, etc
  • Evaluation of input and output formats
  • Conversion options
  • Quality Control requirements
  • Procedural documentation

Work performed by HSA is in accordance to HSA's ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. This requires HSA to evaluate and refine its production processes to ensure that projects meet the client's requirements and expectations.
Within a particular project, HSA will develop a project specification and a quality plan. Either existing Work procedures, instructions, forms, checklists etc are used or new documents developed to assist staff through the project phases. The client is encouraged to be involved with this aspect of the process.
