Since 1998, HSA Systems Limited has provided Electronic Navigation Charts (ENC’s) to Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) on an ad-hoc basis as charting requirements necessitated. In the last two years however, New Zealand shipping companies have realised the benefits of using ENC data for navigation. With the aid of HSA’s electronic chart system ENDEAVOUR®, the mariner can display ENCs and raster charts as well as overlaying ARPA targets for navigation in confined waters. HSA, in conjunction with LINZ and shipping companies has prepared a number of strategic ENC’s of key NZ ports to assist with precise navigation. |
